Samogar Mai
Samogar mai - Mother Samogra - is the patron deity of Sakhoi village. She exists as one of the forms of Durgaji.
The Samogra temple is situated just off the village. A small chabutra under the ancient Pipal tree houses the open air temple. Maa Samogra is represented through a sculpture made of hard dark stone. The artifact seems to be an ancient sculpture perhaps discovered as a relic.
The exact age of the temple is undefined. Along with the female deity, a smaller temple has been set up for Shiv Puja. Villagers collect stones - perfectly rounded shapes - and neatly arrange it around the Shiv Linga.
Samogar Mai welcomes all communities to join in peace and prayer together.
